Palamedes is a self-buffing DPS that deals massive bonus damage to enemies afflicted by Crowd Control (CC) effects (Stun, Root, Freeze, Fear, etc.). Her ultimate deals AOE damage and grants her bonus Critical Hit Chance. Her Active deals AOE damage and grants her an Additional Damage buff (up to 3 stacks). Her Passive 1 reduces the cooldown of her Active (2 sec CD) if the enemy is affected by a CC effect, increases her Basic ATK and Active DMG for 3 seconds, and increases her damage against immobilized enemies. Her Passive 2 increases her ATK% and Critical Hit Chance.

Long story short, Palamedes ticks off all the boxes of your standard selfish Raid-focused DPS - tons of bonus damage, free stat buffs and resets on her Active, but no defensive utility whatsoever. She is capable of dealing an explosive amount of personal damage once you build around her kit. However, playing around her requires two things - running a certain number of CC supports without gimping your overall party damage output, and keeping her alive. Palamedes likes throwing hands/ legs and will run ahead of her tank (due to her short basic attack range), so that’s a tricky part to start with.

The 20 Aug 2026 balance patch has increased her % multipliers on her attacks and reduced the cooldown on her passive 1, which has brought her personal DPS to competitive levels relative to the current heavy hitters. Crowd control has become prevalent again in raid meta, allowing her to be viable as a DPS in several raid comps. However, as with most DPSes, expect that second wind to be short-lived.

Palamedes’ Card, “A Girl’s Secrets”, is used by Frontline DPS. It increases Melee ATK% and Ignore DMG Reduction, and grants a 60% Crit DMG buff as long as she is above 10% HP. It is a strong option that gives a good amount of free stats, but falls short of the more commonly used options, either in utility (Anessa/ Lua card) or raw damage output (Ran card). Only obtain it if you don’t have many options.
