Four-star Nature Wizard with a Root rider and a random dispel: fine as a roster filler, never a planned damage slot at D across every mode.

Overview

Strengths

  • Go, Chunsam! strips one random beneficial effect from the wave on a 12s cooldown while still dealing 210% Attack AoE.
  • Stampede pays 60% bonus damage into Rooted targets on a 560% Attack full-wave ultimate.
  • Photosynthesis is a flat +30% HP at Transcend 5, cheap survivability on a backline four-star.

Weaknesses

  • D DPS in PVE, Raids, Brawl, and PVP. The kit has no self-Root and no party buff worth a locked slot.
  • Bonus damage on Stampede requires Root from another unit; without it the ultimate is a plain 560% cleave.
  • No named gear path or investment stop in current build data. She is not a unit the site builds around.

Extra copies

Do not spend limited five-star resources on Merry. Extra four-star copies are fine for Transcend if she is already on the account; otherwise ignore her.

Transcend stop

No recommended stop. Raise skills only if she is filling a temporary hole. Park investment the moment a real Nature or dispel option shows up.

Merry is a 4★ Nature Wizard in the back line. The tier list rates her D DPS in PVE, Raids, Brawl, and PVP. That is not a soft undersell. The kit is a small AoE package with one conditional rider and one utility button, not a carry skeleton.

Stampede, the ultimate, deals 560% Attack to all enemies and adds 60% additional damage to targets already afflicted with Root. Cooldown is 32 seconds. She does not apply Root herself, so the bonus line needs a partner. Without Root it is a once-per-half-minute cleave at four-star coefficients.

Go, Chunsam! is the more interesting button for what she actually does in a fight. 210% Attack to all enemies, dispel one random beneficial effect, 12s cooldown. Random dispel is not precision strip, but on a short timer it chips enemy buff uptime while she contributes chip damage. That is her real niche: a budget wave tool when you need a body that sometimes deletes a buff.

Photosynthesis is a single passive: +30% HP at Transcend 5. No Attack, no crit, no party aura. It keeps a fragile backliner from folding to stray AoE. There is no second passive in the brief, no skill-priority string, no named weapon/armor/rune path, and no synergy or card list. The site does not treat her as a build target.

Compare the coefficients to any modern five-star Wizard and the gap is obvious. Stampede's 560% and Go, Chunsam!'s 210% are early-roster numbers. The Root rider on the ultimate is a 60% kicker, not a transform. Even with a Root partner online, she does not suddenly jump tiers. She becomes a slightly better filler. That is why every mode lands on D DPS: the kit never grows a party buff, a self-status, or a scaling passive that rewards vertical investment.

Use Merry when the roster is thin and you need Nature coverage or a disposable dispel tick. Early story stages and temporary holes are her home. Do not plan teams around Stampede's Root rider, and do not funnel transcend mats past "she is usable." The moment a five-star Wizard or a dedicated stripper arrives, she returns to the bench. D across every mode is the honest summary: filler kit, filler investment.
