Overview

Strengths

  • Twister and Wild Strike both hit all enemies, so the kit at least understands full-board pressure.
  • Religion’s +8% Damage Reduction and the crit-rate passive give a tiny bit of frontline padding and consistency.
  • Four-star copies are easy to gather if you only need a warm Chaos body for a quest gate.

Weaknesses

  • Twister is only 324% Attack on a 30s cooldown, far below what a real front DPS ult needs.
  • Wild Strike at 150% Attack every 9s does not clear waves or threaten bosses.
  • D across PVE, Raids, Brawl, and PVP; no mode currently rewards investing in him.

Extra copies

Ignore extras for competitive builds. Awaken only if you are filling collection or a temporary story hole.

Transcend stop

Do not push Transcend for meta play. T5 still leaves the damage lines too low to leave the D tier.

Ray is a 4★ Chaos Knight standing in the front row with a kit that reads like an early tutorial unit. AoE on both spenders, thin numbers, no team buff worth drafting around. He looks like a front DPS on paper because everything hits all enemies; the multipliers are why the tier list refuses to promote him.

Twister, the ultimate, deals 324% Attack to all enemies on a 30s cooldown. That is a full-board hit in theory and a shrug in practice. Five-star knight ults commonly sit three to five times higher before conditional bonuses. Even a finished T5 Twister will not carry a raid phase or a Brawl round on damage alone. Wild Strike is the active: 150% Attack to all enemies every 9s. Fast cooldown, almost no payload. Together they make him look busy without clearing anything a real frontliner would. The all-enemy targeting is the only modern-looking part of the kit; the coefficients are still launch-filler math.

Religion (Passive 1) is Damage Reduction +8% on himself. The second passive is Critical Hit Rate +6% on himself. Neither is a party tool. There is no Restraint hook, no Defense aura, no Shock payoff, no Immobilization bonus: just personal crumbs that keep him slightly less dead while he fails to kill anything. The brief lists no skill priority, no gear, no synergy, and no cards, which matches how little the kit asks of a build page. You could put Fragarach and Crit DMG runes on him and still not change his job description.

Tier placement is unanimous: D DPS in PVE, Raids, Brawl, and PVP. He can occupy a front slot while you are still unlocking better Chaos or Holy knights, or while a quest gate asks for a Chaos body. He cannot justify Transcend materials, premium gear, or a permanent team slot once those options arrive. Four-star awaken cost is low, which tempts collectionists. That is fine for the album, not for the clear.

Use him as a temporary frontliner if the account is empty. Move him off the team the moment a five-star knight with a real ultimate multiplier or a support aura shows up. Finishing his Transcend ladder does not invent a missing identity. It only polishes numbers that start too low to matter.
